A membership in MyHeartRisk has a cost of $25.00 and is functional for a 3 month period of time from the date of first use, not the date of purchase.
A membership buys the authorization to use the risk analysis portion of the software for a single individual at any time and as many times as wanted through the 3 months.
Maintenance of that authorization past the 3 months costs $5.00 for each future quarter (3 months period). Cessation of membership for non payment of maintenance fees requires a re-initiation of membership by a payment of $25.00.
You may purchase a membership for the 3 months or for any other time period such as one year,
two years or five years. You may purchase a membership for yourself or for a family member or a loved one. When you click the “buy membership” link above, you will be taken to a page with all of these options.
The risk analysis software requests information about the member’s health history, life style and laboratory values for a number of specific laboratory studies. It also requests information about specific cardiovascular diseases in family members, along with their ages of occurrence. Listed in the left and right columns are the information pieces about the members and their families that the built-in algorithm uses to produce the information about risk and the suggestions for modification.
Although the system will produce a risk analysis without a complete set of data, the more accurate information a member is able to enter, the more accurate is the risk analysis.
We urge you to communicate with your health care provider and your family members to get as much of the information that the algorithm requires, prior to beginning the data entry process. We also urge you to communicate with family members for information regarding their health histories prior to the data entry process.
Remember, we are making judgements about your future health, therefore, accuracy is very important.
